Yes, Farmstream Cameras can record footage if a micro SD Card is inserted into the camera. A micro 64Gb SD card is included with the WiFi and 4G cameras and can be upgraded to 256Gb. The cameras can then be set to record all of the time, only when motion is detected or only at certain times of the day/night.
A 64GB micro SD card will hold one weeks worth of footage on average, a 128Gb up to two weeks and a 256GB will hold on average 4 weeks worth of footage. It is worth noting if your camera is based in a very busy location e.g. on a busy roadside then the SD card will hold less footage due to compression. For example, if a camera placed on a busy roadside has a 64GB micro SD card, instead of holding upwards of 1 week, then it may be closer to 5 days.
Once full, the SD card will automatically overwrite the oldest footage first and the maximum size SD card that our cameras will hold is 256GB.
